About the Author
Prudence McDaniel is a cellist, international speaker, clinician, and now best-selling author with her new eBook “What Music School Didn’t Teach You: Holistic Creation of Your Satisfying and Profitable Private Teaching Studio” on Amazon.
She travels throughout the U.S. helping college music majors in both performance and education, learn their strengths so they can design their private teaching studios to best suit their personalities and lives. This allows them to begin professional lives that are authentically crafted, artistically satisfying, and prosperous on multiple levels.
As a performer, Prudence is the cellist of the award-winning Marian Anderson String Quartet, LLC, celebrating 15 years of the quartet’s 29 year history. In joining the quartet, she left a 20 year orchestral career performing with national and regional orchestras such as; Houston Symphony and New York Philharmonic, Columbus Symphony, West Virginia Symphony, and Erie Philharmonic among others.
In the last 15 years she been on the faculties of Prairie View A&M University, Texas A&M University and Blinn College teaching Music Appreciation and History of Rock and Roll. She is currently adjunct faculty at Temple College teaching cello.
Prudence is a member of Pi Kappa Lambda Honorary Music Society, Mu Phi Epsilon International Music Fraternity and Pi Kappa Psi Honorary Academic Society.
